Mission
The goals of the Peters Creek Historical Society are to discover, preserve, and commemorate local history for future generations to learn about and enjoy.
Programs and Services
- We work to preserve the 1816 Wright House and the 1780 log house in Venetia which has been turned into a museum depicting life in the 1700's and 1800's in this area.
- We preserve both buildings and gardens and create historical displays.
- We give tours to the public.
- We have meetings with guest speakers 9 to 10 months out of the year, the 4th Monday of the month. The public is invited to attend these informational programs.
