Programs and Services
- Healing Bridges is a recovery-oriented nonprofit that guides and connects residents of Washington County and neighboring communities to comprehensive behavioral health services. By providing children, teens and adults with the necessary guidance, tools, skills and resources needed to improve their lives, Healing Bridges acts as the connection to hope and prosperity throughout their continuous developmental journeys. Healing Bridges, formally known as Washington Communities Human Services, has been serving the residents of Washington County since 1968. Today, Healing Bridges supports the growth of individuals through counseling, medication management and mobile case management programs. The agency strives to motivate clients to find and maintain stability by transforming adverse routines into healthy lifestyles.
- Counseling: Healing Bridges offers in-person and online therapy options for people of all ages to help them reach their mental health goals. Individual, family and group therapy are our three different styles of open communication counseling to help foster personal growth and desired change. Telehealth services are available for any patients who want to receive virtual mental healthcare via a live and secure video conferencing platform.
- Medication Management: Healing Bridges provides psychiatric evaluations and medication assessments to help those with emotional, behavioral and developmental disorders get connected with a successful prescribed treatment plan. We also offer a full service pharmacy on site for all clients who have prescribed medication needs.
- IDD/A Supports Coordination: Healing Bridges supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities / autism (IDD/A) by promoting individuality, choice and control. The supports coordinator (SC) serves as the link between the individual, family and service provider to help people with functioning delays become self-sufficient, live everyday lives and find meaningful roles within their communities. Healing Bridges’ supports coordination program works closely with Washington and Allegheny County providers to provide case management services for individuals with IDD/A to get them the support services that they need. The SC locates, coordinates and monitors those support services by providing advocacy and referrals to community resources with eligible waiver programs within our service area.
- Blended Case Management: Healing Bridges assists people of all ages with a variety of behavioral health needs by building a strong network of community resources and services. Our blended case management program is a free-of-charge service that links clients with severe mental health diagnoses to needed resources within the community and navigates complex systems to help individuals and families gain access to those local support services.
