Mission
Genesis of Pittsburgh provides counseling and support services to women facing the challenges of an unplanned pregnancy. Many women find that they are able to carry their unborn children to birth with the encouragement and practical assistance of Genesis.
Programs and Services
- Genesis of Pittsburgh provides support for pregnant women, new mothers, and families seeking educational programs, counseling, and essential needs. Genesis offers classes in childbirth, infant safety, parenting, and a variety of other topics every month. Additionally, Genesis has a Lactation Specialist on staff who provides breastfeeding classes--- the only offering of its kind that is at no cost to the clients. Genesis continues to support mothers and families with regular distribution of diapers, wipes, formula, baby equipment, and clothing. With outreach programs that have been initiated, Genesis is also providing supplies to immigrant populations in under-served areas.
